Actually, I've been following your deviant art page, so I'm not entirely in the dark about where you've been, (occasionally flaming jerks who demanded you hurry, remember me?) but I'm still kinda surprised you'd picked it back up. Good for you, and dare I say even better for us? Anyway, here's hoping the haters won't get you down again! But I digress, review is for the win.

This might be the best.... let's see.... ever. Old villains? Check. New, awesome(-er) villain? Check. Best sprite fighting the world has yet seen? Check. Best RETRO sprite fighting the world has yet seen? Also check. Hell, you even had Megaman tunes, a Zelda reference, the dancing banana, and friggen WEEGEE. I mean, at no point did that stop rocking hardcore.

And some speculation. Here thar be spoilers, everyone. If the good doctor survived, what about the rest of Mobius? I mean, yeah, the clips shown were pretty definitive, but I remain ever hopeful of some Tails. And why would Robotnik replicate what could be called his biggest backfire? Last time he made a mecha, it almost(?) killed him. And I wonder why Mario and company don't use the 4-5 emeralds in their possession, M. Sonic destroyed an ISLAND with them, after all.

Well, that was unexpected.

Dude, Peach... Wow. Just wow. Great finale, I've never been so moved by sprites before. And the combat was, of course, top-notch.
